…… donates cow to hospitalised children

The Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation (AMG Foundation), has launched a Vulnerable Children Fund, to enhance humanitarian services for less privilege families who are in crucial needs of health accessibility in Kano state.
AMG Foundation Chair, Dr Aminu Magashi Garba, said the fund was established to cater for cost of care for vulnerable sick children in Kano.
He announced that a steering committee will be set up to supervise the utilisation of the Trust Fund and a dedicated account will also be opened under the White Heart Development Initiative.
Dr Magashi added that the AMG Foundation will on monthly basis credit the dedicated Trust Fund account with some funds, and therefore call on wealthy individuals and other organisations to follow suit.
Meanwhile, founder of the AMG foundation Dr Aminu Magashi has fulfilled his promise with a cow donation to ease the burden of stress on children and parents that are on admission in various hospitals in Kano state.
He stated that it was part of AMG foundation collaboration with white heart foundation through its program of vulnerable sick children initiative.
The Executive Director of White Heart Development Initiative, Khadijah Aliyu Ammani said the AMG foundation’s support to make the trust fund for children has reduce half of the challenges faces when seeking for financial support for the sick children.
According to her, most of the beneficiaries are from poor families living both within and outside the state.
Also, the President of Nigeria Cancer Society (NCS), Dr Alhassan Adamu commended AMG foundation for its selfless numerous humanitarian activities in the state and also seek for more partnership to make sustainable projects.
On her part, Executive Director of and Youth Society for the Prevention of Infectious diseases and Social Vices (YOSPIS), Zainab Nasir Ahmad, commended AMG Foundation for identifying with the poor and vulnerable people in the state.
She said the slaughtering and donation of a cow to feed vulnerable sick children admitted in hospitals is worthy of emulation by other members of the society, to bring succour to less privilege members of the society.
