Aminu Magashi Garba foundation has donated surface water tanks to Diso Primary Health Care in Gwale Local Government Area of Kano State.
The Program officer of AMG Foundation Malam Jalo Suleiman said the aim of donating the water surface tanks and connecting the water pipe to Diso Primary Health Care was to have more access to water, sanitation, and hygienic supply at the PHC due to the records of patients that often visit the center for medical attention in the communities and nearby.
AMG Foundation donated 1500 liters surface to an existing borehole which was drilled but not functioning for some months at the PHC, he said.
At the commissioning of the tanks, Gwale Head of Department to Health Malam Aliyu Lawan added posited that “Donating the tanks to Diso PHC is one of the greatest achievements not only to the Communities around but to any functioning hospital or PHC, as water is the priority to healthcare, without water the hospital will be a place to get contacted to communicable and all forms of diseases.
In addition, The In-Charge of Diso PHC, Hajiya Hassana Tijjani Badamasi said, The Government is trying its best to make all PHC centers in the state functional but there is a need for all collaborative efforts from Non-Governmental organizations and philanthropists to support more PHC’s to be more accessible in the society.
“AMG foundation has done immense support to the people of Diso Communities and others that often visit the PHC for medical attention” she added.
On her part, the Supervisory Councillor of Health at Gwale Local Government, Hajiya Aisha Haruna Kabuga commended the effort of the AMG foundation in improving health sectors across all the Primary Healthcare centers in the Gwale Local Government Area in the state.
