AMG Foundation Allocates N1.2million, Partners with KAD Poly to Train Out-Of-School Youth

Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation in partnership with the Department of Skills Acquisition and Training of the Centre for Technology Development (CTD), Kaduna Polytechnic, flagged up the commencement of the training of a 10 cohort out-of-school youth on automobile repairs in Kaduna State.

This was revealed by Suleiman Jalo, Senior Program and Partnership Officer, AMG Foundation on Tuesday.

Jalo said the 10 out-of-school youth within the age bracket of 12-15 years were drawn from the host community of the Kaduna Polytechnic and sponsored by the Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation to undergo the eight (8) weeks training and four weeks internship at Panteka market.

He later unveiled the donation of the sum of One Million, Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N1.2million) paid by the Foundation to kick start the training which will create skills to the youth and be self employed.

Jalo further confirmed the motive behind the sponsorship of the training as to improve the economic status, promote peace in addressing the challenge of insecurity in our society.

In attendance at the event were; Engr. Auwal S. Anwar, Director, Centre for Technology Department Kaduna Polytechnic, Mallam Bashir Lawan, Manager, Out-Of-School program of the Centre, Hon. Muhammad Usman, former Commissioner of Education, Kaduna State and former Member House of Representatives, and Maimuna Abdulrahman, Admin and Finance Manager of AMG Foundation among others.
